                                                                            CHILE

Chilean vineyards were first established in the mid-sixteenth

century by Spanish missionaries with a red grape named Pais.

This grape is similar to the California Mission grape.  But

it wasn't until the 1800's that French grapes growing is ideal.  The

vineyards are protected by the Andes Mountains, oceans, and deserts.

With melting snow from the mountains, water is plentiful.  Chilean wines

as well as South American wines are making a name for themselves in

                                    the wine world.

wines that are fresh and appealing to both novice and experienced wine

drinkers.  If you haven't discovered Chilean wines, not is the time.  With
