                                                                                ITALY

Italy, what can I write about Italy that has not already

been written?  With all the wine that this country produces and

all the different styles, you can never really say, that I've never

had an Italian wine before.  Here is my reason.  Just like food, wine

is also a regional taste.  A quality that seems to stamp an area of

this country in your memory.  You see food, wine, laughter, and

a bag of other things, make the music of life.  That expression

                                        comes through wine.

If you had the chance to visit this beautiful country, remember

that glass of wine you had at the local Osteria or Trattoria with a

small plate of anti-pasti, it all makes sense, the simplicity of the food

and how it was just for that glass of wine and only that wine.  All

over Italy, you'll find matches like the one mentioned above.  With

such a huge wine selection from one country, you'll never run out of

choices, from white, red or dessert wines.  Did I forget sparkling wine,

                                        see what I mean?

The best advice I could give, pick a region and explore, in

person or through your local wine shop.  Buona Fortuna! (Good Fortune).
