March 1, 2008 -- Old man winter sure did give us a pounding this year in Wisconsin. I can only
speak for myself, I was spoiled the last 4 years with those easy winters. Considering I'm from California and all.
But looking ahead winter is slowly becoming the past and as always in spring something new is emerging. It's time again for
our Top 8 Wines of the Fall and Winter Season. I will tell you this I was surprised at the list. Remember the last two seasons Semi-Dry
wines dominated the list. In fact they occupied spots 1-6. That was even more surprising. The
Top 8 unveiling on Saturday March 1st was full of surprises for those who attended, thanks. One of the surprises was
the huge savings on wines purchased that night. Second was the sneak peek at next seasons "Dog Wine". Third,
but definitely not last was the sampling of the customers favorites of the season. We didn't forget about those who where
not able to attend. Special pricing on all wines, to make room for next seasons inventory.
Chocolates, simply delicious. This years Chocolate Tasting really got down to the nuts and bolts of chocolate
making and chocolate styles. I learned a lot, just doing the research. I can tell you this, we now know what style of
chocolate we like because of the this years theme "Everyday Chocolates". I am more open to tasting wine with various
chocolate store brands. What a rush!. This years line up of wine events will be very exciting for us and for you. Keep
